Customer Question on Boxing Gloves
Good gloves for big hands

I am 6'5" and 260. I have tried on every glove that I can find locally and they are all to small. Most have been Everlast including their L/XL size 16 oz. Anyone know of any brands/models which tend to run large? I will be using them for sparring and I prefer a velcro closure. Since I'm already here, can someone describe the difference between traditional and Thai styles too.
Thanks in advance for your help, Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy. The difference between traditional gloves and muay thai is subtle. In general the thumb placement for thai gloves allows for easier clinching as that is an important part of muay thai competition. Furthermore the padding lends itself to a little more flexibility outside of punch position.

With your hands being so big, have you ever tried something like this in xl: ma-gl-722. The thumb and finger freedom may be what the doctor ordered.
