    Amazing suit

I just put it through its paces for the first time today -- worked up an amazing sweat -- felt flexible and strong, got the heartrate way up, and really felt good. One -small- hazard -- I sweated so much onto the treadmill that it got a bit slippery <grin>.

Hey John - you want the suit to be snug. Check out the sizing chart at the bottom of this page to get a more direct sense of sizing, but I'm guessing you could go with the 3x.

Hey Festor. If you can, grab a chest measurement for yourself and then consult the measurements chart at the bottom of this page. That should at least get you in the right ballpark.

If you still aren't sure after that follow up here and we can try to figure out some more clues that might get you the best size possible.

    What size?

I want this to fit snug, and do not want the legs or arms to be loose. I would typically buy an XL, however, in purchasing similar products, they are sometimes loose. I am considering a large, but will it be too tight. I want to be able to wear it under my shorts and shirt during practice and workouts.

Awesome, Awesome, Awwsome!!! I love the suit and it was well worth the money spent. It is very comfortable and really enhances my workouts. I love the way that it hugs the body, but it is not cumbersome or bulky; you hardly realize that you are wearing it. I love it so much that I am buying another one for my brother.

If you're in your own home I'd say go for it. Out in public or the gym it might be smart to throw some shorts on over it, especially because more clothes will help you keep body heat contained (which is the point).

    quality product

Buy this instead of 3 & 4 regualar plastic bag type sauna suits. It's worth it. Will never have to buy other sauna suites again. This is the real deal. I also have the ultimate sauna suite by REAL SAUNA and the Kutting weight suite is better as far as fit which enables you to keep performing at optimum level instead of dealing with a bunch of bulky material. The Realsauna suite eventually ripped inside, just like the cheaper versions.

    Kutting Weight Sauna Suit

I just started a new column on Ringside Report.com where I will be reviewing various products I get from Boxing Depot.com The first one was the Kutting Weight Sauna Suit. My scale goes from 1- 10 and for this suit, I gave it a ten. Great product and to read the entire review you can click here: http://www.ringsidereport.com/?p=1766

Hey 300 - These sauna suits are very effective at helping you lose water weight. That's very useful for dropping a quick pound or two here and there in a hurry - which is great for boxers who are trying to cut weight before a weigh in or a person getting ready for bathing suit season.

If you are trying to lose serious weight, including fat/calories/etc/etc then this will not really help. In fact, some people find that they cannot workout for quite as long when wearing this because it dehydrates you quicker (as per its design).

If you are looking to lose a substantial amount of weight, I would recommend investing in other equipment like jump ropes, weights, boxing equipment, etc.

    Reaction to neoprene

I bought the suit for my wife, she had a reaction ( itching ) after wearing the suit the first time. Has anybody else experienced this?
    by: Efrain

    Was this helpful? (0) (0)
Yes it is possible to get a contact reaction from neoprene. It's a bit unusual as neoprene was originally an alternative for people allergic to latex, but it can happen.

If other people are wondering about their susceptibility to this, there is an allergy patch test you can get at most allergy centers.

It was designed to be more comfortable than the plastic alternatives. Of course, all sauna suits are somewhat uncomfortable in the sense that they contain your heat and sweat... but that's what makes them work. Make sure to drink enough so you don't get dehydrated during your workout.

The Kutting Weight suit is form fitting and should be comfortable when wearing it. If you do chose a size bigger or lose a lot of weight it is still useful and will still fit. Since you wear it under your clothes you won't notice the extra room in the suit!

Use it when it is cooler outside. Live in California and the summers are hot. When I need to get rid of water weight fast during that time of the month I feel it helps with the blot feeling. Also I love to really sweat when I work out. Give 5 stars. Good purchase for me. Bought my husband one. He is a large guy who sweats enough. He is getting use to it because it is heavier than a traditional store bought sauna suit that always rips.

    Sauna Suit Expert FAQs

    1. Can a sauna suit actually help me lose weight?

A sauna suit helps individuals lose weight, but it is important what kind of weight you are losing. The goal of the sauna suit is to trap the body's heat and induce an increased amount of sweating. As such, you will lose water weight at a more rapid rate. This is very useful for boxers who are trying to make weight before a match and need to drop a few lbs quickly regardless of where it comes from.
For people who are looking to shed actual fat the sauna suit will not help in that endeavor.

    2.
    3. Nylon/Vinyl vs Neoprene

Nylon and vinyl are the two most tradition materials that are used in the making of sauna suits. These generally have a plastic feel to them and can be worn over top clothing. These suits generally feature crimped wrists and ankles to prevent heat from escaping. The benefit of these kinds of suits are the general inexpensive and disposable nature they possess.
Newer are the neoprene suits which are changing the way people use sauna technology. Neoprene hugs the body, thus reducing chances of tearing, and has the added benefit of fitting underneath regular street clothes. Although not quite as encompassing as the full body nylon suits, neoprene has been praised for it's comfort and reliability.

    4.
    5. Do I burn more calories when in a sauna suit?

There is no particular evidence to suggest that you burn more calories with a sauna suit on. Calories are not directly related to sweat, and since the sauna suit functions by increasing your sweat, the calorie burn is not actually effected.

    6.
    7. How do I clean my sauna suit?

First, check the label or instructions to see if it is machine washable. Some are made to withstand the machine while others are not. If it is not machine washable, simply fill your sink with warm water and a small amount of detergent. After washing, hang out to dry.
