Boxing vs Martial Arts Shoes

I've been a national martial arts medalist for years and now enjoy boxing regularly. I'm looking to buy boxing shoes but can't see much difference from my old Tae Kwon Do shoes (for the times they are worn vs being barefoot)-- although they are a low cut/ankle height style where some boxing shoes can be bought in a higher style.

Can you please tell me the difference between these types of shoes? I'd like to make the purchase soon but wanted to make sure a new pair would be beneficial to both sports.

Some boxing shoes have more of a felt toe and extra grip sole. These are designed to keep the boxing ring surface safe while providing maximum grip for quick cuts as needed in boxing. A good example of that is the Ringside pair here: bx-sh-303
