I gotten these gloves when I first started boxing and kickboxing classes. They work great and aren't too heavy for my boney hands and wrists! Permalink

Will these work for an 8 year old?

Just wondering if the junior size would work for an 8 year old. I could also use a recommendation on hand wraps. Permalink

I'd recommend the junior style handwraps right here - bx-ac-203. With those on, I predict the junior size gloves will be a good fit.

It makes sense that a boxer needs boxing gloves, but what a lot of people don't realize is that for punching a heavy bag or speed bag you want to use bag gloves, not boxing gloves. Bag gloves are designed to optimize a person's punching form and protect both their hands and wrists during training. What weight glove should I get for doing bag work?
