This shoe suitable for female boxers? I'm usually size 6.5 -7. Is size 7 a saver option?

Box Hogs

You can't beat the price. The shoes offer moderate ankle support and I haven't had any trouble with them in the ring yet. They do run a tad large, but that wasn't an issue for me since I wear padded socks. They are very light and breath very well. Overall, if you are new to boxing, low on cash, or just want something you don't feel bad about if they get ruined this shoe might be right for you.

It would probably be better to go with 11 as you'll have a little room for growth.

Are the concept of these shoes like other adidas shoes?

I used to play soccer and adidas shoes always ran a different size than what I actually wore. I wear a size 12 and am really interested in these shoes, as well as the ringside triumphs, but i don't want to buy them in the wrong size and have to send them back. any help?

I usually get my boxing shoes (and i wear adidias) in a size smaller than normal so they fit very snugly.

These run true to normal shoe sizes, whereas adidas has always had their own unique way of sizing.

Hey duffski. The safer bet is to go for the 10, although you do run a little risk of being able to wiggle around in the shoe. Some boxers would go a half step down in your situation to ensure a snug fit, but only do that if you are comfortable with snug shoes.

Maybe try for a half size larger, or stay with the 8.5 that you wear. I wouldn't go smaller.

it is ok or not

it is light, so you can move better on spar,
but the bottom part is not thick enough that might cause the
blister on your foot

I Don't Have An Idea?

Are these good shoes? They're pretty cheap so I don't know. Can I run with them becuase everyday I have to run around for warming up unless it rains?

I would not do any significant amount of running in these. They are ring shoes with very thin soles with very little padding for shock absorbancy. They are good for what they are meant for though: boxing.

These are strictly for the gym. Running in these shoes outside will hurt your knees due to the lack of cushioning in the shoe. I own a pair of these for boxing and as a boxing shoe you will not find a better shoe for the price if your buying boxing shoes your best bet is to go with Adiddas. (they make the best boxing shoes).

Agreed with the other answers - it might be best to buy a separate pair of running shoes.

Boxing Shoes Expert FAQs
  1. How are boxing shoes different than regular shoes?

On the surface boxing shoes might appear like normal running shoes, but they are actually quite different. The goal of a boxing shoe is to hug your foot snugly while still allowing air to flow through. Boxing shoes need to provide you with excellent traction but also be very light to maximize your mobility. This lightness is provided by a sole that is thinner than normal shoes and airy yet supportive. Shoe fabric is often constructed out of soft leather or suede, and feature either rubber or other non-slip type soles.
Boxing shoes provide a fine balance of characteristics that offer protection, comfort, and durability.

  3. What kind of shoe is right for me?

There are three main things to consider when shopping for shoes. First is comfort. When looking into different brands, pay attention to how much effort they have put into making the shoes breathable and light. You never want to feel burdened or distracted. Second is usability. You'll have to choose how much grip you think you will need (do you make lots of weight shifts and quick cuts? Do you slip often in the ring?), and also how much ankle support you'll want. Finally, you'll need to decide what kind of visual style you'd like. Depending on what kind of image you wish to present to spectators, you'll have to choose between flashy and subdued styles.

  5. Are boxing shoes required to compete in matches?

Amateur and professional boxers are not required to have boxing-specific shoes on, but in general it is recommended that you wear something safe and appropriate. Some fighters choose to use low coverage, wrestling style boots that are very minimalistic. Other boxers prefer higher topped boots that provide added support.

  7. What size should I get?

Most boxing shoes run in the same sizes as normal shoes. If you are a size 11 in running shoes, it is likely you are a size 11 in boxing shoes as well. Some fighters like to get a half size lower so the shoes are very snug and resistant to sliding around.
