mexican style wraps

Do the Mexican style wraps have velcro? The velcro on my current wraps is a pain especially since my wraps wad up when I wash them, even though I wash them in a lingerie bag.

if they do, what is the best way to avoid this problem?

Yes, the mexican style handwraps do utilize velcro. It is often referred to as 'hook and loop'.

When it comes to washing them - one option is to put them in the normal wash, but then hang dry instead of the drying machine. The other option is to hand wash them. Many individuals will simply wash them in the shower after training in the evening, letting them hang dry there.

I would say yes Laure, especially of the handwraps for speed bag training. If you wear nothing, even during light workouts, it can quickly cause abrasion of the skin.

Generally the right time to replace handwraps is when they start to fray. However, sometimes they become stained or smelly and just unpleasant to wear, which is also a good indicator that a new pair is needed.

do these gloves replace wraps and gloves?

Will gel gloves wraps replace both and wraps and bag gloves? Can I hit the heavy bag with just these?

No, it is reccomended that you still use bag gloves as the gel wraps are just that, wraps, with gel added to offer better shock dispersion.
