Hi my 12 an 8 year old sons just started karate and they need a punching bag to train on and I don't know what kind of bag to buy that's not too expensive could you help me

I think from what we have available the bag on this page is the best bet. I a few years though they will need something with more weight behind it.

replacement spring

I bought this a little over 2 weeks ago. I actually really love it but the plastic inside the spring broke in two. I am a 37 year old woman and I don't hit very hard so I can't believe I could actually brake it with my fists. How can I get the spring replacement part?

Hello. I'm sorry to hear of your daughter's injury. In cases of the product being broken we can provide a refund. So if the air bladder was popped or stem broken we can definitely help. If your daughter was injured during typical use though we cannot assist with that, the user assumes liability. This is especially true if she was not wearing proper bag gloves.

DONT BREAK YOUR HAND

All right I bought this for my daughter. SHE IS OLNY 10. So there is a medal bar in the bag and my daughter hit it. So we pumped it up some more and SHE PUNCHED IT again AND IT BROKE HER WRIST. please dont wast your money or break a hand.

Replacement

I ordered and received this product in January. I used it maybe 10 times and it already has some type of hole or problem that keeps it from staying inflated. How can I exchange this or get my money back?

Replacement parts

We have had the cardio bag for about 6 months and the bag got a puncture hole on the inside by the top of the pole. How much is a replacement bag?

Hi Joe. I don't think it's possible to get a separate replacement bag. I might have a cheaper recommendation though - go to a nearby namco/pool supply store and get a pool patch. If the hole isn't too large that kind of patch should work on this material.

Father's Day Gift

Hi there. I'm curious about purchasing this for my dad for father's day.

How durable is the punching bag and would you recommend it for first time users?

Hi Kristin. This bag is really good for cardio-type workouts, however it does not provide the same resistance as a normal hanging heavy bag. You can't really sink your weight into it as much. Durability-wise it's fine, and it's good for first time users.

Hi Mimi. Yes this is a fine choice. This bag is nice because it is highly mobile (you can slide it anywhere you want when training, and then out of the way when you're done). It is also flexible and easy on the hands.

The only catch is that it doesn't provide as solid resistance as hanging heavy bags, so that means you won't develop quite as much striking power over time.

Deflation

Hi,I bought the cardio bag and after about a week of punching it gt deflated and whenever I put air in the bag it just fills up 75%. It didn't get any more stiff, I left it there and after I went to do some errands it was fully deflated and I checked te bag for any holes but yet...no holes. I shut the airhole fully but till it kept deflating.

Withstanding Force?

Hi, im 25 years old 5'11" 170lbs. Will this bag fall over if I hit it with a good kick or haymaker? I want to start training in MMA as a hobby.

Hi Kracker. Yea this bag is more for hand speed and accuracy. It will follow over if you really whack it, nor does it provide significant resistance to build strength in your techniques.

I recommend instead a bag like this: tr-bg-07.

Im looking into this bag as a christmas present for my boyfriend. He's had a fair amount of boxing training in the past, but needs something versatile for at home. Would this be a good choice for both a punching back and other uses? Clueless when it comes to these things...

This bag is good because you can place it anywhere in your home. Understand though that this bag is more for combining footwork with striking rather than for developing strong punching power. This bag will bend and sway with your punches.

If you want something for punching power, go with this sort of bag: bx-hv-720.

Replacement bag

I wondered if you sold a replacement bag for the Everlast Cardio Bag? The bag must have gotten a hole in it during use and is now totally deflated. Can't fix it. I only had it for 10 days. Still have it just can't use it.

I think the product you are on here would be a fine choice. One cool thing we have is a full length striking bag here: tr-bg-771. It's more expensive, but even small children can punch and kick away and not worry about a height problem.

Is This Good For Karate Kicks, Im An 11 Yeah Old, And I Have Never Taken Karate, But I Do Have Some Anger Isues and instad of taking it out on our House Wall, I Could Take It Out On This, I Practiced On A Friends .   1. What kind of standing bags are there?

    Within the standing bag genre there is an excellent variety of options for you to choose from. The most common freestanding bag consists of a fillable plastic basin with an adjustable neck protruding from the top. Attached to that neck is a soft foam filled bag that feels a lot like a traditional nylon heavybag.
    A different variety of bag involves a full-body-length striking surface that is secured to the basin and is non-adjustable. Much different than those two types is the B.O.B. (body opponent bag). This device is shaped like the upper torso of a man and can be used to focus strikes on different anatomical parts of the human body. These are excellent for anyone looking to increase their accuracy and strike selection.
    The final type of freestander available is the reflex bag. This is much smaller than a heavy bag and requires much less weight to stay in place. The point of this bag is not to develop punching power, but to acquire rhythm, timing, and fluidity.

  2. Do I need to fill the base? If so, with what?

    For most freestanding bags you will need to fill the basin yourself. Sending the base empty reduces shipping cost significantly.
    The two most common types of fill used in bag basins are plain water and sand. Water is quick, free, and can be dumped out whenever you need to pack up the bag and move it to a different location. Every basin is built to be waterproof (unless explicitly stated otherwise). Sand is a reliable alternative as you needn't worry about liquid spills or leaks even after extensive wear and tear.

  3. Will my freestanding bag slide around?

    Freestanding bags are generally designed to resist sliding and skidding during training. However, there are some things you can do to ensure maximum stability for your bag. First, fill the basin to it's proper amount and maintain that level as time goes by. If you've chosen to fill it with water, the water might evaporate slowly which will cause the bag to slip easier. Second, place the bag on a grippy surface. Even the best of bags might slip on slick concrete. Third, if you wish, you can purchase an extra non-slip cover that fits around the basin of your bag.

  4. Short body vs long body type bags

    When it comes to heavy bag style freestanders, there are two main styles - the short body and the long body. Short body bags are frequently adjustable and can be made to fit the height of the practitioner using it. Boxers enjoy the smaller striking surface because it provides them greater flexibility and feedback, which allows them to integrate an element of rhythm into their training, much like they might do with the swinging of a standard heavy bag.
    The long body bag is preferred by martial artists and kickboxing practitioners that want to integrate kicking into their routine. The length of the striking surface allows them to use both punches and kicks without having to constantly adjust the striking surface.
