This shield is great in size and thickness but the outer material is not the best. I recently purchased this shield in Oct, 2007 for training at home and was completely satisfied with it for the first few months but it suddenly ripped. I am a 4'11, 110lb female and some how while using this shield, the handle ripped off the back along the seam. =(
