Answer to: I have been interested in getting a new jump rope and am wondering if anyone has had a positive (or negative) experience with this kind of rope? I have only owned/used "traditional" ropes. Does the rope have a drastically different/better feel? Thanks
Harbinger Beaded Jump Rope

This one is supposed to wear out less quickly. Also, it has triangular handles to fit nicely in the palms of your hands. The beads are supposed to provide even weight distribution and consistent swing motion. Consider it a step up from a traditional jumprope :)

Harbinger Beaded Jump Rope

Actually - I have to change that last answer... Im not sure about the triangular handles... theyre more molded handles, but they are supposed to be easier to hold.

Answer to: What's the difference between bag gloves and boxing gloves? They look the same to me.
Super Bag Gloves

Bag gloves are designed with just enough padding to protect your hands and joints from injury. If you use them against your boxing opponent, you are more likely to cause injury. They are good for using against speed bags or double end bags, where you are not worried about inflicting damage on your opponent :) Boxing gloves are designed with more padding, to minimize damage to your opponent. You may find boxing gloves to be a little heavy for you if you are just using it on a speed bag or double end bag. You should not use bag gloves for sparring.

Comment on:
Mouth Guard

I would say that depends ...This is a good, solid inexpensive mouth guard. If thats what you're looking for, go for it.You will not get as exact a fit as you would with some higher end mouthguards (like a gel mouthguard), but for practicing or if you do not mind a more generic fit, this can be a good choice.

Answer to: What do you recommend to fill this bag with??
Canvas Heavy Bag - Unfilled

In my opinion, these bags are best filled with a combination of rags and small sandbags (which are added for weight). You can use old rags, t-shirts and blankets to fill it - or you can take it to your local fabric store to see if they have anything for you to fill it with. Its nice to have the extra sand for weight.

Some people fill their bags entirely with sand, but I don't like this option as much because when the sand settles, you end up with a very heavy bottom of the bag and not as much filler on top. If you do decide to fill it with sand, you might want to get some foam that is the length and width of the bag (any carpet store should have this), and line the bag first with foam. This will prevent it from getting lumpy.

Answer to: Does the dental warranty work worldwide or only in USA ?
Gel Max Mouth Guard

I don't see why it should only be for the US... they don't say anything about that in their warranty. You can check their warranty here: http://www.shockdoctor.com/assets/pdfs/SD09_GelMaxWrntyWEB.pdf

Answer to: Are these gloves good for a speed bag? If not what is?
Gel Handwrap

Some people who do not like using gloves for speed bags (because they are too bulky) find these to be a much better form of protection. They can definitely be used for speed bags, if you don't want gloves and want more protection than your bare hands provide.

Answer to: Dose this neoprene cause skin discomfort?
Kutting Weight Sauna Suit

It was designed to be more comfortable than the plastic alternatives. Of course, all sauna suits are somewhat uncomfortable in the sense that they contain your heat and sweat... but that's what makes them work. Make sure to drink enough so you don't get dehydrated during your workout.

Answer to: Can an amateur boxer safely wear braces with upper and lower mouth guards and not worry about getting cut?
Shock Doctor Mouth Guard for Braces

If you have braces, it is even more important for you to wear a mouthguard than it is for other people because of the risk of getting cut. These should provide good protection for you if you wear them right. Make sure to wear both the upper and lower mouth guards, as you said, and if you are still concerned about getting cut, you can show your mouth guards to your orthodontist to make sure they fit you well and are providing ample protection (though these are made to fit easily without boiling and should not give you a problem).

Answer to: Please provide directions to sizing information. In this model, what's the difference between a large and an extra large?

Is the chinstrap on this model padded?

Thanks much,
Steve K.
Competition Headgear - Cheek Protected

Hi, Steve. The sizing chart can be found by clicking on the little ruler icon above the add to cart button. Or, you can just scroll down - the sizing chart is towards the bottom of the page.

The chinstrap is thick, but does not have padding.
